Actress/singer Lindsay Lohan (1998's The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, Herbie: Fully Loaded, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, 2010's Machete, 2012's InAPPropriate Comedy) is the daughter of Dina Lohan and Michael Lohan.Dina appeared as an extra in her daughter's films The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. Lindsay, a former child model, has three younger siblings, Michael Jr., Ali, and Dakota Lohan, who were all also child models. Michael Lohan, Jr. appeared alongside his older sister in The Parent Trap. Ali Lohan is also an aspiring singer and actress. Dina and Ali appeared on 2008's reality TV series Living Lohan. Lindsay did not appear on the show, which Dina also executive produced. Lindsay's dad is an aspiring actor who appeared in 2008's TV movie Wanna Be Me! and The Deed to Hell, as well as 2011's Horrorween. In addition, Michael was a "patient" seeking treatment for substance abuse on the 2011 season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.
Lindsay's troubled relationship with her father was documented in her 2005 music video Confessions of a Broken Heart. It served as a message to him after he was charged with DUI following a car crash. Her sister Ali appears in the video as herself. The video also features actors playing their parents, who are shown fighting as their daughters hide and pray.
In the summer of 2012, it was announced that Dina would star in the reality series DramaMamas, in which Dina serves as a "celebrity mentor" for aspiring child stars and their mothers.
