Lane Kiffin, who became head coach of the USC Trojans in January 2010 after one year with the Tennessee Vols, has his dad Monte Kiffin on staff as his defensive coordinator. The elder Kiffin, who played college ball at the University of Nebraska, spent 26 years as assistant coach for various NFL teams, including 13 years as defensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Lane played backup quaterback for the Fresno State Bulldogs, while his brother Chris Kiffin was a defensive lineman for Colorado State University. Lane's father-in-law is John Reaves, who was quarterback for the Florida Gators and went on to play quaterback for five different NFL teams.
Lane's replacement at Tennessee is also the son of a famous coach. Click here for our posting on Derek Dooley & Dad.
