Rupert Murdoch & Family
Business magnate Rupert Murdoch is the founder, Chairman, and CEO of News Corporation, the world's second-largest media group. The News Corporation empire includes Twentieth Century Fox movie studio, Fox television network, and several international newspapers. Before News Corporation, Rupert got his start in the business when he inherited the Australian company News Limited from his father, Sir Keith Murdoch, in 1952.  His father was a renowned World War I correspondent before finding success in the world of newspaper publishing. Rupert's mother, Elisabeth Greene Murdoch, was a well-known Australian philanthropist.

Upon graduating college, Rupert's daughter, Elisabeth Murdoch, took her first job as manager of program acquisitions at his cable network service FX Networks in Los Angeles. Next, she moved from Los Angeles to England to help her father run another production company, BSkyB (British Sky Broadcasting), before becoming Chairman and CEO of the British television production company Shine Limited. In 2011, she sold Shine Limited to her father's company News Corporation. (Elisabeth's second husband, Matthew Freud, is the great-grandson of Sigmund Freud.) Lochlan Murdoch, Rupert's son from a second marriage and Elisabeth's half-brother, is a former News Corporation executive. Lochlan went on to become a Chairman for the Australian media company Ten Network Holdings.
