Actress Lena Dunham, creator and star of HBO's Girls, is the daughter of actress/producer/director/artist/photographer Laurie Simmons (2006's The Music of Regret) and artist Carroll Dunham.

Lena wrote and directed 2006's short film Dealing, which starred her sister Grace Dunham and both of their parents. In 2009, Laurie was the executive producer of the film Creative Nonfiction, which Lena wrote and directed. Grace starred in the movie as well. Lena also wrote, directed, and starred in 2010's Tiny Furniture, which happened to feature Grace and Laurie.

Lena's three Girls co-stars, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, and Zosia Mamet, also have nepotistic connections.
