Late British novelist Jennifer Lash (1961's The Burial) and late noted photographer Mark Fiennes are the parents of actors Ralph Fiennes and Joseph Fiennes (1996's Stealing Beauty,1998's Elizabeth, 2006's Running with Scissors).

Ralph (2002's Red Dragon, 2008's The Reader) starred in Schindler's List, which won the Academy Award for "Best Picture" in 1994, followed "Best Picture" winner The English Patient in 1996.

Joseph starred in Shakespeare in Love, winner of the Academy Award for "Best Picture" in 1999. From 2009-2010, Joseph moved to television to star in FlashFowardfollowed by the 2011 mini-series Camelot, in which he played "Merlin."

Ralph and Joseph's sister, Martha Fiennes, is a film director who was named "Best Director" at the Tokyo International Film Festival in 1999 for Onegin, in which Ralph starred.

Another brother, Magnus Fiennes, is a record producer, songwriter, and composer who scored Onegin.

Another sister, Sophie Fiennes, is a TV and film director/producer who has worked on series for the BBC2 channel.

Martha's son with cinematographer/writer/director/producer George Tiffin, Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, played the younger version of his uncle Ralph's character "Voldemort/Tom Riddle" in 2009's Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. George did the cinematography and co-wrote 2005's Chromophobia, which was co-written and directed by Martha and starred Ralph.

Interestingly, Ralph, Joseph, Martha, Sophie, and Magnus are eighth cousins of Prince Charles.
