The Swayze Siblings
Patrick Swayze
Patrick Swayze, Don's older brother, as tough guy/dancer "Johnny Castle" in the cult classic "Dirty Dancing."
Patrick Swayze's lookalike little brother, Don Swayze, as tough guy/werewolf "Gus" on HBO's "True Blood."

Don Swayze, best known for being Patrick Swayze's (Dirty Dancing, Ghost, Point Break) little brother, was a stand-in & dancer for actor John Travolta in Urban Cowboy (1980). Don appeared as a bouncer in 2009's Powder Blue, which starred Patrick. Don, a character actor, has also appeared in numerous films, such as 1987's Shy People and 1993's Death Ring, as well as TV series like Murder, She Wrote, NYPD Blue, Days of Our Lives, NCISCarnivale, and The Young and the Restless. He also played the recurring role of werewolf "Gus" in six episodes of HBO's highly successful series True Blood during the 2010 season. Don & Patrick's mother, Patsy Swayze, is a noted choreographer whose credits include Urban Cowboy and Hope Floats.

In an interesting connection, Don and Patrick were sixth cousins once removed of '50s and early '60s radio/TV commentator John Cameron Swayze. He's best remembered for two decades of Timex watch commercials, in which he popularized the phrase, "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking."

On September 14, 2009, Patrick passed away after a public, very inspiring battle with pancreatic cancer.
