David Carradine, of Kung Fu and Kill Bill fame, is the eldest son of legendary character actor John Carradine, best known for his roles in horror films and westerns (he also voiced the role of "The Great Owl" in The Secret of N.I.M.H.).
David's half-brother Robert Carradine is most remembered for his role as "Lewis Skolnick" in Revenge of the Nerds.
David's other half-brother, Keith Carradine, is an actor and Academy Award-winning songwriter. All three brothers appeared in the 1980 film The Long Riders.
Yet another half-brother, Michael Bowen, played "Danny Pickett" on the ABC series Lost. Robert Carradine's daughter, Ever Carradine, has appeared in films such as Bubble Boy and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
Keith's daughter is actress Martha Plimpton, most known for her role as "Stef Steinbrenner" in The Goonies (1985). She played the sister of Joaquin Phoenix in Parenthood (1989), and previously dated his brother, River Phoenix.
David's daughter Kansas Carradine (2004's Last Goodbye, 2006's Rapid Eye Movement) is an actress whose first role was in her father's 1988 film Open Fire. She also appeared in a 1995 episode of his series Kung Fu: The Legend Continues. She also appeared in 2007's Homo Erectus as "Pregnant Cavewoman" and 2009's Baja Beach Bums.
On June 3, 2009, David was found dead in his hotel room in Bangkok, Thailand, under mysterious circumstances. The actor was 72-years-old.
