Actor Tony Goldwyn ("Carl Bruner" in Ghost, The Last Samurai, 2009's The Last House on the Left) is the brother of Paramount Studios president John Goldwyn. John is an executive producer of the show Dexter, in which Tony appeared on a 2006 episode. They are the sons of actress Jennifer Howard and producer Samuel Goldwyn, Jr., who is, of course, the son of late famed producer Samuel Goldwyn, whose credits include more than 130 films from 1917-1959. The elder Samuel was married to late character actress Frances Howard, making her Tony and John's paternal grandmother. Their maternal grandparents are late character actress Clare Eames ("Queen Elizabeth" in 1924's Dorothy Vernon of Haddon Hall) and late playwright Sidney Howard. Sidney was the first person to win both the Pulitzer Prize (1925's They Knew What They Wanted) and an Academy Award ("Best Screenplay" in 1939 for Gone With the Wind). John is married to character actress Colleen Camp (1983's Smokey and the Bandit Part 3, 1990's My Blue Heaven, 2006's Running with Scissors) making her Tony's sister-in-law. John was a producer of 1985's Police Academy 2: Their First Assignment, which featured Colleen. Tony and Colleen both appeared in Someone Like You (2001) and Joshua (2002). Colleen was a producer of An American Rhapsody (2001), in which Tony appeared. John and his father are both producers of 2010's The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
