Actress Joan Collins (best known as "Alexis Carrington Colby" on TV's Dynasty) is the sister of author/actress Jackie Collins ("Peggy Foster" in 1958's Undercover Girl). Both sisters got their start in English "B" movies in the 1950s. Jackie's books have sold 400 millions copies in more than 40 countries, a number of which were developed into films and TV mini-series. Some of her most popular novels include Hollywood Wives (1985) and Lucky Chances (1990). Joan starred in the 1978 film version of The Stud as a gold-digging adulteress, and reprised the role in the 1979 sequel The Bitch, also based on one of Jackie's books. Joan and her first husband, Maxwell Reed, appeared together in the 1955 film The Square Ring. Joan's fourth husband, Peter Holm, appeared with her in the 1986 mini-series Sins and the TV movie Monte Carlo. Joan appeared with her second husband, Anthony Newley, in the 1991 TV movie Red Peppers, in which they played husband and wife. Joan's third husband, Ronald S. Kass, produced her films The Bitch and The Stud. Jackie's second husband, Oscar Lerman, worked as a producer on Yesterday's Hero (1979), The World Is Full of Married Men (1979), The Bitch, and The Stud, all of which were based on Jackie's books.
