Late legendary actor Marlon Brando (The Godfather, A Streetcar Named Desire, Julius Caesar, On the Waterfront) is the son of producer Marlon Brando, Sr. (1961's The Naked Edge, 1965's Wild Seed) and the brother of actress Jocelyn Brando, who appeared with him in The Ugly American (1963), The Chase (1966). Marlon was the father of character actor Miko Brando, Sr., as well as daughter Rebecca Brando and son Teihotu Brando (who both played themselves in the 2007 TV movie Brando). Marlon is also the father of character actor Gary Brown (born Christian Brando). Christian's mother (Marlon's first wife) was 1950s-1960s character actress Anna Kashfi. Miko and Rebecca are the children of actress Movita Castaneda ("Ana" on Knots Landing), Marlon's second wife. Miko's children, Prudence Brando and Shane Brando also appeared in the 2007 TV movie Brando. In addition to acting, Miko once worked as a bodyguard for Michael Jackson. Teihotu's mother (Marlon's third wife) is actress Tarita Teriipia, who starred with Marlon in 1962's Muntiny on the Bounty. Marlon passed away in 2004 at the age of 80. The cause of death was attributed to obesity, pulmonary fibrosis, diabetes, cardiac failure, and an enlarged liver.
In 1990, Christian was arrested for shooting and killing his half-sister (Cheyenne Brando)'s boyfriend, Dag Drollet, at Marlon's Los Angeles estate. He was imprisoned for the crime from March 1991 to January 1996. Cheyenne committed suicide by hanging herself in 1995. She was 25-years-old. In 2005, Christian pled guilty to spousal abuse of his wife, Deborah Presley. He was given probation for the offense. Christian was also suspected in the 2001 murder of Robert Blake's wife, Bonnie Lee Bakley, however, Robert was eventually found liable for the crime. Christian died on January 26, 2008, from pneumonia.
