Actors/comedians Keenen Ivory Wayans, Marlon Wayans, Damon Wayans (1995's Major Payne, TV's My Wife and Kids), and Shawn Wayans are brothers. Keenen was the first to find success, writing/producing/starring on the 1990s series In Living Color. Marlon, Damon, Shawn, and their sister, Kim Wayans, all appeared on the popular sketch-comedy show, which also gave Jim Carrey his "big break." Marlon and Shawn wrote/starred on the 1995-1999 series The Wayans Bros. Kim had parts on two episodes. The oldest Wayans brother, Dwayne Wayans, is a composer/musician who worked as a production assistant on In Living Color, My Wife and Kids, and the 2006 series The Underground. The Underground was written/produced by Damon Wayans and his nephew, Damien Wayans. The show also featured Damon Wayans, Jr., Damon's son, who is additionally credited as a staff writer. The younger Damon appeared on 31 episodes of his father's sitcom My Wife and Kids. Shawn and Marlon starred in 1996's Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood (Keenen and Kim had minor roles), 2004's White Chicks (Keenan wrote and directed), and 2006's Little Man (also written/directed by Keenen). The Wayans family is credited with the highly successful Scary Movie (the first of which was released in 2000) spoof film franchise. Marlon has starred in all four films. Craig Wayans, cousin to the famous Wayans siblings, wrote three episodes of The Wayans Bros., produced 30 episodes of My Wife and Kids, and had bit parts in Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood and 1997's The Sixth Man (which starred Marlon).

The May 2009 box office release Dance Flick, written by/starring Keenen and Shawn, was directed by Damien and also features Marlon, Kim, and Craig.
