Academy Award-winning actor Tommy Lee Jones (1993's The Fugitive, 1995's Batman Forever, 1997's Men in Black, 2007's No Country For Old Men) is the father of actor Austin Leonard Jones. Austin played son to his father's character in the 1986 TV movie Yuri Nosenko, KGB. Austin also appeared in the 1995 TV movie The Good Old Boys, which happened to star Tommy. Tommy's cousin, the late Boxcar Willie (1980's "Bad News," 1983's "The Man I Used to Be"), was a country crooner famous for his 1980s infomercials. He passed away from leukemia in 1999.
Tommy's first film role was in the classic film Love Story (1970). Coincidentally, the author, Erich Segal, modeled the lead character "Oliver" (played by Ryan O'Neal) after Tommy and Tommy's then Harvard roommate, none other than future Vice-President Al Gore.
