Former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin was the (unsuccessful) 2008 Republican nominee for Vice-President. She has since written the bestselling book Going Rogue and starred in The Learning Channel reality show Sarah Palin’s Alaska, which featured her family. Her daughter Bristol Palin gained notoriety for becoming a single, teenage mother. Bristol placed third on the 2010 season of Dancing with the Stars, with her mom often sitting in the studio audience. That same year, Bristol appeared on an episode of The Secret Life of the American Teenager, playing a character dealing with teen pregnancy. In 2011, Bristol released a memoir, co-written with Nancy French, calledNot Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far.
In 2012, Bristol starred in her own Lifetime reality show with her son Tripp, titled Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp.
