Dermot's brother Richard Harris as "Professor Albus Dumbledore" in the "Harry Potter" films.
Dermot Harris was an associate producer of the 1976 film Echoes of a Summer, which starred his brother, late Oscar-nominated actor Richard Harris. Richard's lengthy career credits included roles in the Harry Potter films (as "Professor Albus Dumbledore"), as well as earlier projects such as 1963's This Sporting Life, 1967's Camelot, 1970's Cromwell, 1977's Gulliver's Travels, 1990's The Field, 1992's Patriot Games, and 2000's Gladiator. Dermot and his first wife, actress Cassandra Harris, had two children, Charlotte and Christopher. After Dermot's death, Cassandra's second husband, actor Pierce Brosnan, legally adopted them. Charlotte Brosnan is an aspiring actress who appeared in Pierce's films The Disappearance of Kevin Johnson (1996) and The Nephew (1998). Christopher Brosnan worked as an assistant director for Pierce's films The World is Not EnoughTomorrow Never Dies, and Robinson Crusoe, in addition to being a production runner on the set of GoldenEye.
