White Collar star Tiffani Thiessen lept to fame (as Tiffani-Amber Thiessen) in 1989 with her first regular role, "Kelly Kapowski" on teen favorite Saved By the Bell. While most of her fellow cast members floundered after the show's end, Tiffani got picked to play the role of "Valerie Malone" on Beverly Hills, 90210.

Tiffani was first encouraged to go into acting by her uncle, Roger Ernest, who got into show biz through some school chum nepotism of his own. Roger was a fraternity brother at California State University, Long Beach with Steven Spielberg. In 1967, Roger and Steven co-wrote a short film about bicycle racing to be titled Slipstream. Roger appeared in the film, but a lack of funds prevented its completion. However, the friendship with Spielberg resulted in small parts for Roger in 1974's The Sugarland Express and 1977's Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

Tiffani‘s brother Todd Tesen (born Todd Thiessen) is an actor whose credits include the 1997 TV movie Bella Mafia, 2003's Hulk, and 2005's American Gun.
